SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF THE PROJECT “PROMOTING THE DEVELOPMENT OF A HYDROGEN ECONOMY IN SOUTH AFRICA”

Exciting times with the H2.SA project "Promoting the development of a hydrogeneconomy in South Africa - Renewable H2market potential and value chain analysis", GFA has implemented on behalf of GIZ.  The project team has successfully implemented the following project activities:

• Analyzing the renewable H2/PtX value and supply chains for strategic market insights
• Evaluating competitiveness of renewable H2/PtX applications
• Quantifying the renewable H2/PtX market potential and value
• Identifying renewable H2/PtX business opportunities across the whole value chain
• Strengthening technical capabilities across different sectors
• Assessing job potential and reskilling need to develop the renewable H2/PtX economy

With these results, we have opened the way for South African and international companies to enter the renewable hydrogen economy.
